Family-run tanneries outside Florence have been working leather the same way for generations, using only natural tannins from tree bark and leaves. No chrome, no synthetics, no shortcuts. Every hide we use is certified by the Genuine Italian Vegetable-Tanned Leather Consortium, an independent body that verifies the process from start to finish.

Each leather roll arrives raw and untreated. Our makers cut, hand-stitch, and finish every piece one at a time. No two come out exactly the same.

From here it starts to change, absorbing the oils from your hands, deepening in sunlight, softening with use. Leather people call this a patina. It only happens through living with it, and it makes your cover entirely your own.
