The Making
It starts in Tuscany.
Family-run tanneries outside Florence have been working leather the same way for generations, using only natural tannins from tree bark and leaves. No chrome, no synthetics, no shortcuts. Every hide we use is certified by the Genuine Italian Vegetable-Tanned Leather Consortium, an independent body that verifies the process from start to finish.

Each leather roll arrives raw and untreated. Our makers cut, hand-stitch, and finish every piece one at a time. No two come out exactly the same.
Now it's yours.
The first thing you'll notice is the smell. Warm, woody, a little earthy. Then the texture, naturally soft, marked exactly as nature left it. That's leather with nothing to hide.
From here it starts to change, absorbing the oils from your hands, deepening in sunlight, softening with use. Leather people call this a patina. It only happens through living with it, and it makes your cover entirely your own.

Yes. TONO is designed as a modular system. You can easily swap in other notebooks, planners, or refills within seconds. This is the same for the bands, it is held together by a simple tie at the end.
Yes, and that’s the beauty of it. Because our leather is vegetable-tanned and full-grain, it deepens in color, softens, and develops character the more you use it. Scratches, marks, and darkening are part of the journey, not flaws.
